KAI Baseball AI Version 2.0 (Alpha Cloud)
KAI 2.0 expands our privately hosted baseball AI into a conversational assistant augmented by approved SoulThrowers knowledge. Users can explore general baseball concepts, ask follow-up questions, and access reviewed information about our coaching approach and organization. The experience combines the language model’s general knowledge with relevant material retrieved from our Knowledge Library, rather than relying only on predefined questions and answers.
The platform connects our WordPress portal to a dedicated AI gateway over HTTPS, with server-side authentication between the systems. Language generation and knowledge-search processing run within our privately hosted Alpha Cloud infrastructure, without sending those operations to an external AI provider. The chat interface supports conversation history, progressively displayed answers, source references, and user feedback.
A major addition is the knowledge-management and coach-review workflow. Staff can organize individual knowledge entries and manage a private Document Library. Draft and restricted documents are excluded from the searchable coaching index. Only approved knowledge and approved, appropriately classified document text are eligible for synchronization. Approval adds reference material for retrieval; it does not automatically train or fine-tune the underlying language model.
KAI distinguishes general baseball explanations from answers using approved SoulThrowers sources. Substantive conversations are captured as unverified review candidates, while “Not helpful” feedback creates or raises the priority of a pending review item. Coaches retain control over reviewing, correcting, approving, or rejecting material before it becomes approved knowledge. Review intake does not automatically publish content.
Compared with Version 1.9’s focus on bringing a privately hosted AI chat experience into the website, Version 2.0 adds a managed knowledge foundation, source-aware responses, and a structured improvement workflow. The goal is a more useful baseball conversation grounded in SoulThrowers expertise—not simply a larger collection of scripted responses.
KAI 2.0 remains under active evaluation. Conversational flow, follow-up retrieval, factual accuracy, and safety behavior still need refinement. Source citations and approval controls support review, but they do not guarantee that every generated answer is correct. KAI is an assistant to coaches, not a replacement for their judgment.
